Leeds returned to Elland Road after away games against Blackburn and Sunderland, the latter of which resulted in defeat at the Stadium of Light. Leeds needed to get back to winning ways on Saturday.

In fact, they will have been encouraged by the early Championship kickoff, which saw Norwich and Ipswich tie 2-2. Leeds, however, was unable to capitalize and ended up drawing with Coventry.

Just before the hour, Summerville took the lead, but Thomas, a summer acquisition for Coventry, tied the score less than ten minutes later for Mark Robins’ team. Everything started as the last whistle blew.

Thomas went to greet Summerville, a player who had repeatedly fouled our Dutch flier during the game. In response, Summerville pushed Thomas with a fury. It was Willy Gnonto who held him back.

According to the Yorkshire Post, Thomas criticized Summerville for acting with “no respect” following the final whistle in his post-match remarks. Despite his offer to shake hands, he accused Summerville of not doing so.

In Summerville, that is. You may have assumed there was no respect since when I attempted to shake his hand, he palmed it off. On the pitch, you argue, but afterward, you shake hands. However, he didn’t,” Thomas asserted.
