Real Madrid reportedly closes in on Crystal Palace star in £50 million deal.

Marc Guehi has been one of the stars for England at the Euros but that could be bad news for his club.
Crystal Palace face a fresh fight to keep hold of Marc Guehi this summer, with European giants Real Madrid reportedly now targeting him as one of their summer transfer targets. Not many players in the history of football have been able to say no to the Spanish side, and interest from Carlo Ancelotti could mean Guehi now has suitors both at home and abroad.

The Sun reports that Guehi is valued at £50 million, with two years left on his contract. Palace chairman Steve Parish would be willing to hold discussions if a fee around that figure is offered. If Guehi were to leave, he’d be following in the footsteps of exciting forward Michael Olise, with Palace currently in the final stages of ironing out his £50 million move from South London to Munich.

LondonWorld has been exclusively told that the only thing holding up the deal is the agent fee, with talks continuing to arrive at a good agent fee.

Real Madrid are in the market for a centre-back after club icon Nacho, 34, left at the end of his contract to join the Saudi side Al Qadsiah.

Despite this being his first major tournament, Guehi has arguably been England’s best player at this summer’s Euros. He will miss the game on Saturday due to an accumulation of yellow cards, but it’s a testament to his ability that England manager Gareth Southgate is said to be contemplating a change in system to soften the blow of losing the Crystal Palace star.

Most English players value playing for Madrid, having grown up playing alongside the likes of Luis Figo and Ronaldo Nazario in the Spanish capital.

Palace themselves ended last season on a high, but losing both Olise and Guehi, two of their best players, in the same window will take some replacing.
