Leicester City: The 5 highest paid players at the King Power Stadium

By the time this season ends, Leicester City hopes to be back in the Premier League.

After several years of contending at the top of the Premier League, the Foxes were unexpectedly relegated at the end of the previous season.

Thus, there were several changes in the playing team and management when they were demoted back to the Championship.

To assemble a team capable of making a quick recovery, Enzo Maresca made a number of adjustments. Even if there is still a long way to go until that occurs, Leicester is now leading the league in this regard.

Leicester’s highest-paid players from the previous season will have altered as a result of the club’s numerous personal changes. Therefore, we have chosen to use Capology, an estimated wage, to rank the five highest-paid players for the team.

1. Jamie Vardy

£140,000

Jamie Vardy, the forward for Leicester City, is reportedly earning the highest salary of any player in the team.

The experienced striker’s anticipated weekly salary, as reported by Capology, is £140,000, or £7,280,000 annually.

Despite being 36 years old, Vardy has been a fantastic servant for Leicester for the entire season, scoring about one goal every three games.

Although it was anticipated that the player might not have much of an impact this season, Maresca showed faith in the forward, and Vardy has returned the favor.

2. Harry Winks

£90,000

Winks left Tottenham Hotspur during the summer transfer window after losing favor at the London team and joining Leicester.

The 27-year-old has never played in the Championship before, but he has adjusted quite well considering that he has played in the top division before.

The midfield player, who dropped a division, has started every game for which he has been eligible, and his high salary is still evident as he is said to be making £90,000.

3. Ricardo Pereira

£80,000

Pereira’s estimated weekly salary of £80,000 makes him the joint third highest paid player at the club, with an annual salary of £4,160,000.

The 30-year-old, who joined Leicester from Porto in 2018, is another player who has been on the team for a few seasons.

Despite his injury troubles, the defender has returned to the starting lineup this season and has demonstrated his value by occasionally leading the team as captain.

Pereira has started the majority of the games this campaign that he has been available for.

4. Kelechi Iheanacho

£80,000

Iheanacho has been a part of the team’s recent success since joining the King Power Stadium in 2017.

The center-forward has been in and out of Maresca’s starting lineup so far this season as the coach has rotated him, Vardy, and now Tom Cannon.

The 27-year-old, who came from Manchester City, has been among the team’s best earners since joining.

The striker’s contract expires at the conclusion of this season, so it’s uncertain what the future holds, but he will undoubtedly put helping the Foxes win back the championship first.

5. Conor Coady

£75,000

The Foxes signed Coady from Wolverhampton Wanderers during the summer transfer window.

Due to an injury, the defender did not play for the team at the beginning of the season and did not make his debut until early in October.

Since then, the 30-year-old has made a small number of appearances for the team, mostly as a substitute.

Since there is fierce competition for spots at center back, Coady will want to maintain his impressive form in the gym and hope to be selected more frequently by the end of the season. Even though he recently joined the team, Coady already earns among the highest salaries for Leicester.
