Premier League 2024/25 fixture: West Ham face Aston Villa in first match

The Julen Lopetegui era at West Ham will begin with a home game scheduled for the 17th August at 3PM against Champions League team Aston Villa at the London Stadium.

Continuing through the month of August, The Hammers will travel to in-form Crystal Palace in their first away game of the season. West Ham will then return to the London Stadium to Manchester City, who will looking for three points as they defend their Premier League title.

After a two-week international break, September is a month full of London derbies as the Hammers face Fulham at Craven Cottage, Chelsea at the London Stadium and then they will face Thomas Frank’s Brentford to finish the month.

West Ham will face Ipswich at home in the Premier League for the first time in 21 years at the start of October, before a big game against bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur, which is a good match that always springs a few surprises. The Hammers will finish the month off with a home game to Manchester United as the Red Devils try to bounce back from a poor showing in the Premier League last season.

Nottingham Forest will welcome West Ham to the City Ground in the first game of November for the Hammers. They will then take on Everton at home as they look to put a difficult season behind them, before travelling to the North-East to face Newcastle. West Ham will finish the month off against Arsenal as Declan Rice returns to the London Stadium once again.

The congested December fixture list contains six tricky fixtures for the Hammers as they kick off the month with the returning Leicester at the King Power Stadium before playing Lopetegui’s former side Wolves at the London Stadium. They will then play the three teams on the South Coast with Bournemouth away, bogey-team Brighton at home and then the promoted Southampton away from home on Boxing Day. West Ham will finish off the month and the year with a difficult home fixture to Liverpool.

West Ham will begin the year with a trip to the Etihad to face Manchester City before welcoming two London teams to the London Stadium in Fulham and Crystal Palace. The Hammers end the month of January with a trip to Aston Villa.

The season will start to hot up in the month of February as West Ham will play three London teams in a row with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, Brentford at the London Stadium and Arsenal at the Emirates before closing the month against Championship winners Leicester City.

The month of March is dominated by the international break which means there are only two fixtures in the list for the Hammers to play with the Hammers welcoming Newcastle to the London Stadium before travelling to Merseyside to potentially playing their last ever fixture at Goodison Park with Everton scheduled to move to the Bramley Moore Dock Stadium for the 2025-26 season.

The month of April is action packed with five games for the Hammers to play with it kicking off with Lopetegui returning to the Molineux to face Wolves. They will then play Bournemouth at the London Stadium before facing Liverpool at Anfield in a very difficult fixture for West Ham. They will then welcome Southampton back to the London Stadium and finish the month with a game against Brighton at the AMEX Stadium.

The last four fixtures in may could be decisive for the Hammers season as they face Tottenham at the London Stadium before travelling to Old Trafford to play Erik Ten Hag’s Manchester United. The penultimate game is against Nottingham Forest before travelling to Portman Road to finish the season in a game that could mean so much to both sides.
