Crystal Palace step up interest in Arsenal star as Michael Olise terms is ‘agreed’

Crystal Palace have begun talks to sign Arsenal forward Reiss Nelson this summer, as reports continue to link Michael Olise away from Selhurst Park, according to caughtoffside.com. The Eagles are aware that Olise might leave the club and have already identified Nelson as a potential replacement for the French forward.

LondonWorld has been told that Chelsea have ‘agreed terms’ with Olise and were given permission to speak to him last week. He began his career at Cobham before moving to Reading where he became a Championship star and secured a move to the Premier League. Newcastle, Manchester City, and Liverpool are also interested in the 22-year-old forward, who has a release clause of ÂŁ60million complicating Palace’s efforts to retain him. The club is relying on Olise’s good relationship with new manager Oliver Glasner to keep him.

Palace have been brilliant with their signings lately and are already exploring options, including Reiss Nelson, who is reportedly highly regarded by chairman Steve Parish. Fulham, West Ham United, and Crystal Palace all have an eye on the 24-year-old ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, but it is the Eagles who have made the first move.

Crystal Palace looking to go places

Under manager Oliver Glasner, who led Eintracht Frankfurt to the Europa League triumph in 2022, the team ended the season brilliantly, winning six of their last seven games. This strong performance saw them jump ahead of Brighton in the league table, equalling their best finish, and raising hopes for more in the coming campaign.

However, the impressive form of players like Olise and Eberechi Eze means they now face a fight to keep some of their talented players.
