Referee and VAR appointments confirmed for Leeds United vs Saints at Wembley
|THE EFL have confirmed the refereeing appointments for this weekend’s Championship playoff final between Leeds United and Saints.
Premier League referee John Brooks will take the match at Wembley Stadium, just a week after officiating successful Man City’s title defence.
Brooks is also a UEFA referee, taking charge of European Championship qualifying and Europa Conference League matches this season.
He oversaw the match between Saints and Leeds at St Mary’s earlier this season, in which Russell Martin’s side were 3-1 winners.
VAR is in operation at Wembley, with Australian official Jarred Gillet in charge, with the help of an assistant, at Stockley Park.
Saints take on Leeds for the final place in next season’s Premier League on Sunday, May 26, with kick-off in the capital from 3pm.
