Football – Sheaf scoops top prizes at Coventry City’s End of Season Awards night

BEN Sheaf won a number of prizes, including the Player of the Season gong, at Coventry City’s End of Season Awards night.
The 26-year-old also scooped the Players’ Player of the Season award and Community Player of the Season with the Player of the Season award voted for by the supporters.

Club-record singing Haji Wright won the Goal of the Season award for his memorable late winner against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

And Wright shared the Top Goalscorer prize with fellow summer signing Ellis Simms after the pair both finished on 19 goals in all competitions while the latter also won the JSB Player of the Season award.

The Game of the Season went to City’s heartbreaking FA Cup semi-final defeat against Manchester United at Wembley after Coventry came from three goals down to take the game to penalties.

And the club presented Sky Blues manager Mark Robins with the the Michelle Ridley Award after he passed seven years in charge of the Sky Blues.
