Coventry City defender Joel Latibeaudiere is being watched by Sporting Lisbon and Ajax, as detailed in a report by The Telegraph.
Coventry City’s centre-back has caught the eye in the Championship this season.

Latibeaudiere, 24, made the switch to the Sky Blues last summer from fellow second tier side Swansea City.

As per The Telegraph, Sporting Lisbon and Ajax are keeping track of his progress ahead of the summer.

Latibeaudiere is under contract at Coventry until June 2027 meaning they are under no pressure to sell him in the next transfer window.

He has been a key player for the Sky Blues this season and has made 41 appearances in all competitions, 35 of which have come in the league, and has scored three goals from defence.

The Jamaica international, who has 12 caps under his belt, has helped Mark Robins’ side reach the FA Cup semi-final and they have a date at Wembley with Manchester United to look forward to.

They are also eyeing a place in the play-offs and are currently sat in 7th place, four points behind Norwich City in 6th with a game in-hand.

Latibeaudiere is a product of the Manchester City academy and rose up through the ranks of the Premier League outfit. However, he never made a senior appearance during his time at the Etihad Stadium.

He cut ties with City on a permanent basis after a loan spell in Holland at FC Twente to get some experience.

Swansea snapped him up in 2020 and he played 79 matches for the Welsh club before the Sky Blues came calling last year.

He hasn’t looked back since then and Robins could face a battle to keep hold of him in the near future amid this fresh European interest.

Coventry are in action this weekend at home to title hopefuls Leeds United as they look to bounce back from their 2-1 loss to Cardiff City last time out.
