Everton vs Newcastle: Predicted Line-Up | DCL to start?

Will Dyche stick with his regular lineup for the visit of the Toon?

Everton now faces a challenging home double over the span of four days after another victory away from home over the weekend, particularly given their appalling scoring record at Goodison Park.

How will the Blues lineup for their games against Newcastle on Thursday and Chelsea on Sunday, and will Sean Dyche be rotating his team at all?

Who’s Out?

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is available and fit, which is wonderful news after he overcame a minor calf issue.

Amadou Onana has been described as “touch-and-go” for this one, so it’s more likely that he’ll return against Chelsea instead.

Andre Gomes played an hour for the under-21s in midweek as he steps up his recovery, but isn’t expected to feature here.

Dele is the only other player still unavailable.

Tactics and Formation

Mr Dyche doesn’t seem to be a big fan of squad rotation, so changes for this tie will likely be minimal.

DCL will likely take Beto’s place in order to lead the line.

Apart from that, the only other likely change is the perennial one: right. Ashley Young is still holding onto the shirt, but Nathan Patterson or Seamus Coleman could well come in for him either on Thursday or – if not – on Sunday.

Abdoulaye Doucoure and Jarrad Branthwaite are on four yellow cards for the season, so they’ll need to toe the line or risk being ruled out of Sunday’s game.
