Harry Kane exposes Jamie Carragher live on TV and leaves Micah Richards in stitches

Following two goals and a Champions League quarterfinal victory for Bayern Munich, Harry Kane exposed Jamie Carragher in real time on CBS Sports.

After falling behind 1-0 to Lazio in the first leg of their round of 16 match, Bayern rallied at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday night with to braces from Kane and goals from Thomas Muller.

After the game, the England captain did post-match media obligations. He now has 33 goals for the Bavarian team in all competitions.

Kane was escorted in for a conversation with the CBS Sports Golazo team, which included Micah Richards, Thierry Henry, Kate Abdo, and Carragher.

However, addressing the elephant in the room was the first question to ask. Carragher had stated that he had spoken with Kane on the phone prior to the game.

“Is it true or false that Jamie mentioned earlier on the pre-game that he called you and spoke to you this week?” Abdo couldn’t help but inquire.

Kane replied instantly, setting the record straight by saying, “That is false!”.

Carragher interjected and said, “H, don’t do this to me! I’m telling everyone in America that we’re friends and we’ve got a great relationship – I can’t believe you’ve done that to me!”.

Kane responded: “We are friends but I’m not going to lie on national TV!”.

Spurs’ record goalscorer then confirmed that they do exchange messages over X, formerly known as Twitter.

That led to Carragher providing a summary and adding: “Harry, what I was saying before the game was, I was confident you were going to do the business today and I let slip that we had a little message. I know that it wasn’t the full truth or the whole truth but we did get in touch about 12 months ago didn’t we?

Kane simply said, “We did indeed, I appreciate it!”.

Kane reacted to the clip on X, writing: “Sorry @Carra23 the truth will always come out.”

In response, Carragher wrote: “Apologies Harry, I was trying to impress my American viewers.”
