Roy Keane Sunderland return would send ‘rockets flying’ as Black Cats…. Simon Grayson

Simon Grayson, a former manager of Sunderland, has deep feelings toward the team. The 54-year-old has mentioned that Roy Keane would be a great choice to take on the responsibility of trying to guide the Black Cats to the Premier League and thinks the position of head coach “is an attractive one.”

He also mentioned Jack Clarke going to the next level, believing he would have a significant effect at another of his old clubs, Leeds United.

“If Roy Keane took over at Sunderland, there would definitely be rockets flying,” Grayson stated to InstantCasinos.com. He’s a great pundit, so I’m not sure if he wants to go back into management.

Regardless of the names stated, this is an extremely desirable position. I think Sunderland will return to the Premier League eventually, as many managers will want to take the team there. But who will wake them up? Time will tell.

“I still think they have a strong chance of making the play-offs, only being a few points off but they need to strive for consistency as well as results. Going five or six games unbeaten with wins and a couple of draws really invigorates belief and will get the Stadium of Light rocking. Teams will then fear going there.”

The Black Cats will need Clarke back fit to stand any chance and Grayson said: “He has had an exceptional season but it will have to be a Premier League he leaves Sunderland for. Leeds were forced to sell him for financial reasons previously but he would be an incredible addition.

“With Willy Gnonto, Dan James, Crysencio Summerville, Patrick Bamford and Joel Piroe, Leeds have attackers that would get in so many Premier League teams. Let’s get to the summer and see what happens. He would be an unbelievable weapon to have.”
