Sky Sports pundit blasts West Ham United fans live on air

West Ham supporters have come under fire from Stephen Warnock, who asked what they wanted David Moyes to do at the team.

On Monday, February 26, at 12:11 p.m., the pundit appeared on Sky Sports News and stated that the three teams that are successful in their endeavors are Manchester City, Arsenal, and Liverpool. He then included Brighton in the discussion, pointing out that the Hammers could tie them on points if they defeat Brentford.

He believes the Irons boss is probably wondering if he “needs the hassle” he receives from the fans as he doesn’t understand where they want the club to be.

“I can’t sit here and talk on behalf of West Ham fans because I don’t watch them week in and week out,” said Warnock. “They pay the money to watch the team. However, there is a side of me that goes ‘what is it you’re after?’ Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool are the three teams we watch and are successful at what they do.

“Then it’s probably Brighton. Where are they in the league? West Ham are eighth if they win tonight. It’s not the worst thing if you have a style that suits your manager. You’re competing in Europe and are a top eight, top nine side in the league.

“Beyond those you have Villa, Tottenham, Newcastle – where do you sit after that? I don’t understand where you want to be. David Moyes is probably wondering if he needs the hassle of all this.”

The performances have dramatically declined over the last few months, leaving West Ham supporters more and more irate.

While most people recognise that Moyes has done an excellent job during his time at the London Stadium, what is currently being served up is completely unacceptable.

There are many that also want to see their side play some better football as it appears to have gone pretty stale over the past few months.

There is no doubt that the Scotsman needs to pick up a victory in front of the home fans against Brentford if he wants to save himself from further criticism in East London.
