The players of Leicester City will be more focused heading into their trip to Leeds United after their defeat to Middlesbrough. Wout Faes, a defender for the Foxes, feels that way as the club leading the Championship looks to become the first to win at Elland Road this year.

City made a mistake over the weekend, falling to Boro 2-1 at home. In the battle for promotion, United would trail the Foxes by just six points with three points on Friday night.

Faes has emphasized that City will approach the game against the Whites in the same manner as they do every other one. The Belgian, who stayed at Leicester after their Premier League relegation the previous season, stated, “It makes sense.”

“We are winning, winning, winning in this great game that you have, so when you lose one, you want to get back to winning as fast as possible.

“But even if we won or drew, I think we would go with the same intensity, but now it makes it maybe 1% extra to get the result there and take the three points.”

Faes asserts that in their pursuit of success, City has no plans to glance over their shoulders at the pursuing group. “You look at it for sure, but I think we have to focus on ourselves,” he stated.

“We have been doing amazing. We’ve had an amazing season and we’ve been winning a lot.

“And if we keep doing our own job, we don’t have to look backward and I think that is that aim.”

The Foxes sit top of the pile, having garnered 78 points from 33 matches this season.
