Jack Clarke’s agent provides a significant update regarding the winger’s long-term Sunderland future. “Probably…”

According to Jack Clarke’s agent, the winger may very well depart the team this summer.

Former Sunderland, Leeds United, and Republic of Ireland left back Ian Harte, who represents Clarke, stated on the ‘No Tippy Tappy Football’ podcast that he will ‘hopefully’ make a move in the summer transfer window.

Sunderland turned down two bids from Serie A side Lazio in the January window and Harte said that Clarke would continue to give everything for the shirt for the rest of the campaign.

Harte stated, “There were a few bids from Lazio, but Sunderland didn’t feel like they wanted to sell the player in the January window.”

The guy must simply concentrate on what he is doing right now, which is playing incredibly well, scoring goals, and providing assists. However, Jack will most likely move this summer. We’re not sure where it is yet, but he’s in a nice place.

“Sunderland is a talented football team.” It’s great to watch this youthful group of players under the new boss. It will be challenging, in my opinion, to try to make the playoffs, but we’ll have to wait and see.

“Burnley came in and bid to Sunderland to try and take Jack last summer,” he continued.

“Sunderland declined it because they thought the valuation was insufficiently high. Being a former player myself, I can only say that, in my opinion, players should just go out and do what they’re paid to do—that is, play for the team, like Jack has done. This season, he has four assists and fourteen goals.

“Seeing top Italian teams interested in a player like Jack is flattering, but the reality is that you have to play consistently for Sunderland, and hopefully he will continue to do so.”

With two and a half years remaining on his present deal, Clarke may make a summer transfer if Sunderland fails to advance. However, negotiations for a contract extension have stalled. After the transfer window, Sporting Director Kristjaan Speakman stated that further discussions on a new contract were possible, but he also acknowledged that a decision might need to be made in the following window.

“I think we’ve got a changing room full of players who believe they can play in the Premier League, can be part of it with Sunderland, but ultimately they’ve got ambition and we shouldn’t shy away from applauding that.” he said.

Every person has a unique journey, therefore I don’t believe it’s ever necessary to sell them or to relocate them; instead, the goal is to discover the ideal compromise that works for everyone. While I don’t believe Jack would have to relocate in the summer, a contract will ultimately expire if you don’t sign a new one, making you a free agent. It’s just a matter of talking about a contract, determining where those limits are at, and then observing the state of the market to see what options there may be for Jack to go on at some point. I’m sure that neither he nor we want to endure that two-year period.”

After the January transfer window ended, Clarke himself revealed to Sky Sports that he was still “loving every minute” at the team.

“I’m glad to be here,” Clarke remarked.

“I love putting on the shirt and playing for Sunderland every minute of it. I don’t appear to be bothered by things that are stated in public. I’m content as long as I’m wearing a Sunderland shirt to work every day.”
