The wife of Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Matt Turner, Ashley Herron, tells how one of his teammates “broke her NOSE” during a Premier League match.

The wife of Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Matt Turner has disclosed how one of his teammates smashed her nose during a Premier League match.

Turner left Arsenal to sign with Forest in the summer of last year. In 2022, he tied the knot with former NFL cheerleader Ashley Herron.

Herron revealed that Forest’s Gonzalo Montiel accidentally broke her nose with a shot during the warm-up before a game.

“I went to a game and got hit in the nose,” Herron said to talkSPORT, explaining why he currently has a fractured nose.

It took place in the warm-up. It was Montiel, Gonzalo. It’s not glitz and glamour, in my opinion.

Herron will be featured in the Amazon Prime documentary Married to the Game, which tracks Premier League players’ girlfriends and spouses during the summer transfer window.

Herron acknowledges that after Turner’s 2022 transfer from New England Revolution to Arsenal in the Premier League, it took him some time to adjust.

“I don’t think I was particularly prepared for the intensity of the Premier League,” the woman stated. We are from MLS, which is obviously a lower profile league.

“This league is a beautiful thing; it’s just developed in people’s blood.” You can’t really prepare for the pressure that the athletes and their families are under.

When I was eight months pregnant, we relocated to Arsenal, and I had to move before Matt’s season was done. I arrived in the nation without a place to call home.

Turner has made 20 appearances since joining Forest, 17 of which have been in the Premier League.

But since Matz Sels was signed, he has been benched for Forest’s last two league games.
