Bailey signed a four-year contract with Aston Villa in 2021 after joining the team for £25 million from Bayer Leverkusen. However, those initial terms are approaching their last 18 months.

Because of the risk involved in such a situation, Aston Villa is considering offering Bailey a new contract after he scored 10 goals in 31 games this season.

Additionally, they recently obtained a verbal agreement from Bailey to extend his commitment, according to the Daily Telegraph.

The Jamaican international will soon sign a long-term deal that will keep him at Villa Park throughout his best playing years.

The 26-year-old is already having the most successful season of his Aston Villa career, and the team obviously believes he will keep getting better.

Late in 2023, Bailey’s father and him started talking, and it appears that Bailey will soon be able to finalize his revised contract.

But while he is preparing for the long term under Unai Emery, another Aston Villa player is being pushed towards the exit door.

Aston Villa consider loaning defender out

During the January transfer window, defender Calum Chambers was linked to West Bromwich Albion from Aston Villa, however the deal fell through.

After Chambers fell out of favor, Emery had previously stated in January that he was free to find a new club.

Rumor has it that Chambers might wind up in the Super Lig because Turkey’s transfer window is still open for a few more days.

Aston Villa would now be open to taking a loan bid for the former Arsenal defender, as reported by Football Insider.

Like Bailey, Chambers’ current contract is only valid until 2025 – and he won’t be as fortunate in being able to stay at the club as they aim to establish themselves as a European outfit.

After previously insisting on a permanent sale of Chambers, Aston Villa are now inclined to consider any loan offers they receive from Turkish clubs before Friday.

Could injury issues change plans?

But Ezri Konsa, who has a knee injury, will be sidelined for three to four weeks, according to Emery, joining Tyrone Mings, who is out for the season.

Aston Villa may need depth at center defense since Pau Torres has also had some recent fitness issues.

Nevertheless, they still have Kortney Hause, Diego Carlos, and Clement Lenglet on their roster.

Furthermore, even in the absence of some of the players who often rank above of Chambers in the hierarchy, his absence might not be felt too much given that he hasn’t featured in the Premier League at all this season.

It remains to be seen which specific Turkish clubs might be interested in pulling off a late loan deal for Chambers, who is still only 29 years old.

While the window is still open in other nations, the Super Lig’s more established clubs are perhaps the most likely to be able to pay to sign the three-time England international.
