Michael Dawson names the new Nottingham Forest signing who has got to…

The new Nottingham Forest recruit that needs to “hit the ground running” is named by Michael Dawson.

Reyna has only recently moved to the City Ground, but the former Forest central defender and Sky Sports analyst has implied that he is already under pressure.

Giovanni Reyna may already be under pressure at Nottingham Forest, according to Michael Dawson.

Reyna, who can play both as a winger and an offensive midfielder, has signed a loan agreement with Forest.

In the last few days of the January transfer window, the USA international moved from Borussia Dortmund to the City Ground.

Reyna, who purportedly wants to play as a number 10 under Nuno, has to get off to a quick start at the City Ground, according to former Forest center-back Dawson.

The Sky Sports analyst has pointed out that Nuno, the manager of Forest, has several attacking options in his lineup, including Anthony Elanga, who has performed well for the Reds since joining from Manchester United in the summer of 2023, and Callum Hudson-Odoi.

On February 3, 2024, at 12:18 p.m. on Sky Sports News, Dawson stated the following regarding Reyna: “He has to try to hit the ground running.” With Callum Hudson-Odoi and Elanga in the mix, they have a ton of offensive players, but how does he fit in?

ā€œHe has got to try to hit the ground running, three-and-a-half months left, and he has to hit that form that we saw early on at Dortmund. We have not seen it recently for him, but I certainly hope he does well.ā€

My View: Giovanni Reyna could play a big role for Nottingham Forest

Giovanni Reyna might, in my opinion, fulfill his position for Nottingham Forest in the upcoming days, weeks, and months as Nuno’s team looks to stave off the inevitable relegation to the Championship.

Even though Forest does have a lot of talented attackers, the Reds haven’t always had a strong offensive line.

After all, in just 22 Premier League games this season, the Reds have scored just 27 goals.

Yes, I am aware that Reyna will need to put in a lot of effort to break into the team and start right away, but head coach Nuno now has another excellent offensive option at his disposal.
