West Ham United: David Moyes sack talk could reignite after journalist makes Divin Mubama claim

This season, David Moyes’ job security at West Ham has been a hot topic of conversation. However, just as those discussions were starting to wane, writer Paul Brown asserted that the manager is not likely to give Divin Mubama a number of starts.

Brown stated to GIVEMESPORT [November 27] that he would be shocked if Moyes gave Mubama more playing time because, being cautious by nature, he might not want to take the chance.

This information has surfaced while Claret & Hugh [28 November] assert that Mubama will be given more opportunities if the West Ham board tells him to forget about money and concentrate on football.

The reason behind all of this talk is that the 19-year-old, who is highly regarded by those who work behind the scenes with the Hammers, turned down a new deal offer at the London Stadium [The Athletic, 30 October] due to his lack of playing time.

Dissatisfaction will undoubtedly erupt again if Moyes refuses to give Mubama the playing time he has been promised by the board. A persistent rift between the manager and the board is never good for Mubama’s long-term prospects.

Fans have expectations because of Danny Ings’ poor play, who has yet to score this season, and the recent injury to Michail Antonio.

The young player was given a cameo appearance by Moyes in the 2-1 victory over Burnley. Prior to the goal being ruled an own goal by Dara O’Shea, the young player believed he had scored his first Premier League goal for the team. However, the promise he displayed in that appearance should have earned him more playing time.

The worries of the supporters and West Ham officials will start to raise questions about Moyes’ future if the manager is unable to align with the board’s assurances or promises regarding Mubama.

In other West Ham news, the club may replace Moyes with a current Premier League manager.
