West Ham United are now weighing up a late January bid to sign a player who’s been called “the best” in his country this season.

The Hammers have reportedly identified up to 20 transfer targets as co-chairman David Sullivan and technical director Tim Steidten choose who to pursue.

Sean Whetstone, founder of westhamfootball.co.uk and contributor to Claret & Hugh, claims that West Ham is investigating a number of prospects to bolster manager David Moyes’ options.

Kalvin Phillips and Emile Smith Rowe are two of twenty players that David Moyes and Tim Steidten are currently looking and exploring at as potential loan deals. The Hammers are looking to sign one or two players on loan before the transfer window closes but could up signing no-one if they cannot obtain value for money. They are not actively looking for a striker within those 20 names.
