I honestly have never known an injury situation like the one at Newcastle United

The entire situation is quite unbelievable. According to the most recent tidbit of information from Newcastle United, Joelinton will almost definitely have surgery next week, ruling him out for the remainder of the campaign.

Oh, how sweet it is. Supporters of United are in shock after yet another injury. It’s not like players are getting minor injuries that prevent them from playing for a few games. They are absent for several months or perhaps more.

Consider Nick Pope, Matt Targett, Harvey Barnes, Joe Willock, Jacob Murphy, and now Joelinton. Long ago, Sven Botman was also absent. It simply never stops.

Given that United is down to the bare minimum in midfield and Big Joe is a juggernaut, his loss is devastating. There are just three for United: youthful Lewis Miley, Bruno, and Sean Longstaff. After playing game after game, Sean and Miley both appear to be in need of a break, but Eddie Howe is unable to save either.

Whether they like it or not, they will have to play the FA Cup at Fulham. Joe White, another young player he brought back from a loan stint with League Two Crewe, is unable to play at Craven Cottage due to a cup-tied situation.

White is a very inexperienced 21-year-old. As such, he was able to play in the Premier League in lieu of Miley, but not with him. In a competition of this caliber, it would be unjust to group them together because the best teams would take full advantage of the circumstances.

Truly, I have never encountered an injury scenario such to the one at Newcastle. Actually, I haven’t. Is it due to unusual injuries or just plain poor luck, or is there a darker reason?

I would pose two queries to the club. Firstly, is the training effective in keeping the players healthy for the full ninety-plus minutes? And secondly, is it designed to prevent pulls and strains during gameplay? I ask because Newcastle is just unable to finish games and because of all the injuries we are seeing.

They played brilliantly against Manchester City for an hour before they all collided with a stone wall. In the closing moments of the game, they were the walking dead and ultimately paid the price.

Because the numbers are so low, I initially believe that one or two of them are playing with injuries, but several of them just pass away during the game, which cannot be acceptable for highly compensated and skilled players. I believe that certain players, like Alexander Isak and Longstaff, are partially overcoming their pain. If nothing else, a thorough study is necessary to rule out the chance that United is slightly off.

Everything is so out of control, which is unfortunate since it is destroying the potential for an amazing season. Will assistance manifest as the transfer market? Though we all know the shadow FFP is spreading throughout the club, it really needs to.
