Leeds United signed the “best player in the league” for a whopping £1.3 million.

With a solid tally thus far this season, Crysencio Summerville of Leeds United is perhaps the best player in the Championship.

Although the Whites did not emerge from their match against Rotherham United with the victory they had hoped for, Crysencio Summerville scored another goal.

Summerville, 22, is maturing for Leeds with steady performances that are earning points for Daniel Farke’s team.

After being played through by Georginio Rutter down the left, Summerville curled in a fantastic effort six minutes in. This week, he contributed to another goal.

Though his performance and early goal weren’t enough for the win at the New York Stadium, Summerville’s winger deserves more credit for his season-long total of seven goals and five assists, which means that no player in the league has recorded more goals and assists combined this term (12).

Although there is a lot of talent in the league this year, Leeds can legitimately claim to have the best team in Summerville.

Summerville, who cost £1.3 million when he was signed in 2020, has taken some time to develop into the key player that Leeds was expecting him to be, but now that he is playing well, he appears unstoppable.

Given that he might be in line for a new contract if the club plays their cards right and that a promotion would only increase it further, his current worth is unlikely to be set in stone.

It’s clear that when he plays this way, very few teams are able to contain him.
