Nottingham Forest receive ‘official’ €25m offer for in demand midfielder

The most recent transfer rumors surrounding Nottingham Forest: Orel Mangala is reportedly drawing interest from teams like Juventus and Galatasaray

A German source claims that Orel Mangala, a midfielder for Nottingham Forest, has drawn interest from another team.

According to Florian Plettenberg, a reporter for Sky Sports, Rennes, a Ligue 1 team, has entered the race to recruit the 25-year-old who has fallen down the ladder at the City Ground.

Nuno Espirito Santo started his first game, but the Belgian was replaced at halftime of the team’s 3-2 loss to Bournemouth and hasn’t played much since.

Even said, he appears to be well-liked by other teams. Rennes is rumored to have made Forest an official offer, initially for a six-month loan with the option to buy for about €25 million plus add-ons.

Plettenberg asserts Evagenlos Marinakis, whose club was accused of breaking the Profitability & Sustainability Rules this past week, is fond of the player but wants more.

He claims that there is a “open race” for Mangala, with both Napoli and Juventus interested. Despite other reports suggesting Napoli is just interested in a loan, the same reporter asserted that the Reds had already turned down an offer from Galatasaray.

Mangala signed a “long-term” contract with Forest after leaving Stuttgart in the summer of 2022. He has made 49 appearances for the Reds since then, scoring twice. Despite playing eighteen times this season, he only played three minutes in the FA Cup matches against Blackpool and Newcastle United and Manchester United in the league.
