‘Good in both boxes’: Sunderland urged to sign £40k-a-week star after he’s linked with Leeds United

Kieffer Moore has been linked with a move to Leeds United this month as Daniel Farke appears set to bring in a few players – but Carlton Palmer believes he should join one of our Championship rivals.

After two years at Bournemouth, where he scored 10 goals in just 44 games, Moore, 31, may be poised to depart the team. Due to Dominic Solanke’s outstanding play, the striker is having difficulty getting into games.

Leeds is reportedly aware that the Wales star may be available and is one of the clubs interested in him. A player who has netted 12 goals for Wales in international competition; half of those goals were assisted by our Dan James.

Sunderland is reportedly in the lead in the competition for the £40,000-per-week player, who scored in Bournemouth’s FA Cup victory against QPR the previous game. Moore will want to leave, but Andoni Iraola is rumored to want to keep him.

Palmer, a former Leeds midfielder, has now discussed the interest in the striker and asserted that Sunderland would be wise to sign him. He claims he might take Ross Stewart’s place on Wearside.

Scotland needs objectives. Moore is getting older, so this would probably be a loan transfer. He is comparable in stature to the departing Ross Stewart. The supporters would instantly warm up to him since he was tall, agile, and good in both boxes.

According to Palmer, FLW, “Sunderland is currently sixth in the Championship, and with Moore’s signing, they could secure a play-off spot for a second consecutive season.”

AFC Bournemouth Training Session

Moore is a fantastic striker in the Championship. He has participated in 155 second-tier games over his career, tallying 14 assists and 47 goals. That is despite only starting 113 of those games.

If he is enticed to transfer to Leeds, he is an excellent choice. Given that he would bolster the expanding Wales contingent at Elland Road, the Whites might be persuaded. James, Ethan Ampadu, and Joe Rodon.

However, if Moore does decide to leave Bournemouth, he won’t be Leeds’ first choice because of Joel Piroe, Georgie Rutter, and Patrick Bamford, who is expected to bounce back. His best bet would be Sunderland.
