Enzo Maresca admits Leicester ace could be playing his last season at the King Power

Marc Albrighton has received praise from Enzo Maresca, who also said he is “sad” that he was unable to provide him with more chances at King Power Stadium.

Since joining Leicester City in 2014 following his release from Premier League rivals Aston Villa, the winger has played a crucial role for the team.

Albrighton became a fan favorite and was a major component of the team that would go on to win the title the following season.

The winger’s contract will expire at the end of this season because he signed a contract extension in 2021.

Now ten points ahead of second-place Ipswich Town in the Championship, the Foxes are chasing automatic promotion.

Current manager, Maresca, hailed Albrighton for his professionalism and claimed that he is sad that he could not ‘give more chances’.

“He is definitely more familiar with the club than I am, but so are a lot of other people.” He’s amazing. I regret not being able to give him more opportunities. But he knows exactly what you mean. Marc is outstanding. Through Leicestershire Live, he stated.

The league leaders play Coventry this weekend, then on the 22nd, they take on Ipswich for a top-of-the-table match.
