Yes I Would – Former Sunderland Star On Picking Player To Feature Against Newcastle United

Danny Collins believes that Nazariy Rusyn, a forward for Sunderland, should start the FA Cup match this weekend against Newcastle United.

In an attempt to bolster their striker corps, Sunderland signed the 25-year-old center forward in the summer, but Rusyn found it difficult to settle into a Black Cats uniform.

Rusyn scored his first goal for Sunderland on New Year’s Day, his first since November, and Michael Beale’s team defeated Preston North End 2-0.

Next up, the Black Cats will host their FA Cup third-round match against Newcastle United, a local rival, at the Stadium of Light. Collins emphasized that he does not see any reason why Rusyn should not get the start against the Magpies.

The former Sunderland player also mentioned how confidence boosts a striker’s performance, and he expressed his belief that Beale will start Rusyn at the front of the attack against Newcastle at the Stadium of Light.

Collins responded to the Sunderland media when asked if Rusyn should start the match against Newcastle, saying, “Yes, I would.” Why not?

“Retain him inside.” Will there be more objectives soon?

“Well, strikers simply thrive on the confidence they get from scoring goals.

“There will be a certain vibe in here when he returns next week, I’m sure of it.

This season, Sunderland has struggled in front of goal, therefore Beale will be looking to Rusyn to help the Black Cats score more goals.
