Leeds ace could be set for a two week fine after latest bust-up claims pundit

According to Alan Hutton, Illan Meslier can face a two-week fine after getting a red card during Leeds’ match against Preston North End.

After falling to West Brom 1-0 at The Hawthorns on Friday night, Daniel Farke’s team has only won one in their previous five games.

Leeds lost 2-1 to Preston three days after their impressive 4-0 victory over Ipswich Town on the 23rd, which left them looking like they were back on track. Farke was not helped by his goalkeeper’s dismissal shortly after the break after he shoved Milutin Osmajic into his own penalty area. Hutton told Football Insider that the French goalkeeper might be fined two weeks for his actions.

“It depends on the manager, but the club could fine him two weeks’ wages for doing something so stupid,” he stated.

“Anything is possible. His team lost the game after he put them in a particularly tough predicament.

Leeds now has to focus on their Monday night match at Elland Road against Wayne Rooney’s faltering Birmingham City team.

As the former Manchester United forward comes under increased criticism, they are currently ranked twenty-first in the table.
